Which Commitments Really Matter

Wow!  I feel like a ran a whole marathon, even though I only got out of my ergonomic desk chair at 2:30 to fix myself breakfast!

What was going on?  Two weeks ago I made expressed a commitment to others in a mastermind internet support group I’m in.  Now normally I don’t make commitments, as once you’ve made them you might as well wait for the men in their white coats to come take you away!  If you make a commitment to someone else, and your life changes, you can easily be stuck in choosing between what works for you and that old promise you made when the energy was different.  The easy way out of that is to not make commitments in the first place.

So it was not lightly that I made this commitment!  What I committed to was a “little” piece that had kept my whole website stuck for months, the final piece I needed to have in place to take advantage of the traffic I am already getting.  It’s been a huge obstacle for me.  I purposely made the commitment to give myself that added kick in the pants to really get it done.

Many small steps, really.  Not much was missing.  I definitely required some new information which I got by asking a question, which my mentor Don Osborne graciously provided.  And now, except for a few links that my out sourcees will be adding, it’s done.  So by tomorrow you should be able to go to the site, see a new streamlined look, and get a free report on relationships as well as a bunch of valuable goodies.  How did you get so lucky?

What’s so amazing to me is how helpful making that commitment was to me, and even more, how much better I feel after keeping it.  The commitment was just a tool to get me to do what I’d been so resisting doing.

I’m sure I’m  the only person on the planet that most resists what we most need to do.  Right?  What are you resisting doing that could turn your relationships around totally?  What would it take for you to make a commitment to yourself to JUST DO IT! as Nike says?

I’m telling you, the weight it will lift off your shoulders has to be experienced to be believed!  I can’t believe I carried this around so long!

What would it take for you to do the same?  So you can say, CONGRATULATIONS TO ME!  I highly recommend it.
